Urban Farm Educator, Urban Initiative (Rockford)

Roots & Wings is a network of community-based organizations committed to community and youth development through urban agriculture in Rockford, IL.  The Urban Food Systems Educator will work 80% time to develop and implement a new Eco-advocate training curriculum for young adults, as well as 20% time providing technical assistance and training through the existing Roots & Wings network.  The ideal candidate has experience with urban agriculture, vocational training for young adults, community development, and youth development.

Accountant/Human Resources Director (Full-Time):

The Accountant/Human Resources Director is responsible for all accounting and bookkeeping (90% time), with the remainder focused on managing employee benefits, records, and orientations. This position analyzes financial information, prepares accurate and timely financial reports and statements, does the bookkeeping, and ensures appropriate accounting control procedures. The Accountant must be a versatile, self-starter who can manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and relate well with a small staff team. On-Farm Educators Wanted (Part-Time):

We are looking for 1-2 responsible, highly organized individuals to join our team of On-Farm Educators with Angelic Organics Learning Center.  On-Farm Educators facilitate educational programs at the Learning Center for children and adults on a seasonal, part-time basis.  Ideal candidates will have experience with organic farming, environmental education, and working with diverse audiences.
